Prof Petar Uskoković, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, completed master thesis 1994 and PhD thesis on 1999 at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade in the field of hybrid composite materials. In the period February-March 2003 he was a visiting professor at the Franche-Comte University, France. 2003-2004 he was a visiting scientist at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2010 he was employed at the same Faculty as full professor. He supervised 8 PhD thesis and served as committee member for over 25 PhD thesis. He co-authored 98 papers in SCI journals with about 1700 citations and h-index of 19, Scopus Author ID 6602599420. He serves as a reviewer for project calls/committees: ERC, FET Open, Eureka, RGC and the Promotion Committee of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Royal Society, and the Swiss NSF. He held 4 plenary and 14 invited lectures; chaired 4 and participated in over 10 conference boards; coauthored university book, practicum, 2 monographs and 3 monograph chapters. Prof. Uskokovic is PI of 2 international and one national research projects; coordinated domestic partners in 4 international projects (EUREKA and HERD); participated in 4 international projects (TEMPUS, HK PolyU RGC), coordinated 2 projects with international companies and participated over dozen industrial related projects. Research interest is related to biocomposite materials, nanoparticles and nanofibers for applications such as biocomposite implants, drug delivery and controlled release, modeling of drug diffusion and mass transport, etc. From 2018 serves as dean of the Faculty. From 2012 he served as the vice-dean for science and doctoral studies. In 2015 he was elected the president of the Academic Council of Technical Sciences, University of Belgrade and appointed as the president of the Assembly of the Institute for General and Physical Chemistry.
