Dr Rada Petrovic, Professor at the FTM, obtained her BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in chemical engineering at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade in 1989, 1994 and 2001, respectively. Since the year 1990, Rada Petrovic has been employed at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, where she is appointed Full Professor in 2012. Here research activities are: synthesis of ceramic powders by advanced chemical methods, application of different sintering techniques for dense ceramic materials obtaining, synthesis and applications of bioceramics based on hydroxyapatite and calcium–phosphates, development of new adsorbents for the removal of pollutants from water, synthesis of photocatalysts, development of photovoltaic systems based on titanium(IV)–oxide. Dr Petrovic is author of more than 85 peer-reviewed articles and a number of papers presented at national and international scientific conferences. Since the year 2015, Dr Petrovic is Sub-Editor for materials of the international scientific journal Journal of the Serbian Chemical Society. She has been the coordinator of one national scientific project and participated in four international scientific projects (three Eureka projects and one FP7 project) and 11 national scientific projects. Currently, she is the coordinator of the Eureka project. Dr Petrovic has been participated also in five projects as a national expert for cleaner production and resource efficiency.
