Dr Ana Janković, Senior Research Associate at FTM. Dr Ana Janković graduated from Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade in 2000. Post graduation she continued her studies in the USA and received her PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA in 2009. Since January 2012, she was employed at Nanotechnology and Functional Materials Centre, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade (NFMC FTM UB) as part of FP7-REGPOT 2009 Nanotech project. In 2012, as part of the same project, she was a visiting scholar at The NILPRP-Laser-Plasma Interactions Surface-Laboratory at the National Institute for Laser, Plasma, and Radiation Physics in Bucharest, Romania. Dr Janković has stayed in the NFMC till finalization of FP7 Nanotech FTM project. Presently, she is a Senior Research Fellow at FTM, University of Belgrade, working on project III 45019 integrative interdisciplinary research of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Republic of Serbia. Dr Ana Janković was a Committee member for PhD dissertation of two graduate students. Her research efforts resulted in publishing 19 refereed journal articles (which have been cited more than 500 times in high quality journals), most of them in the last 4 years. As part of the FP7-REGPOT 2009 Nanotech project she was a member of the Organizing Committee of NanoBelgrade 2012 international conference. Dr Janković was a Management Committee Substitute for COST Action TD1305: Improved Protection of Medical Devices Against Infection (iPROMEDAI), European Cooperation in Science and Technology – COST, 2014-2018. She was an Organizing Committee member of Final iPROMEDAI action meeting, held in Belgrade in February 2018. Her research interests are focused on biomaterials, composite implant coatings, their characterization and biocompatibility.
