Bojana Obradovic and Jasmina Stojkovska have visited the University of Eastern Piedmont “Amedeo Avogadro” (UPO) in Italy in the period May 17 – 21, 2022, within the site expert visits planned in the project. They were introduced to the researchers and acquainted with various research techniques performed at the Center on Autoimmune and Allergic Diseases (Centro di Ricerca Traslazionale sulle Malattie Autoimmuni e Allergiche, CAAD) with the focus on biological characterization methods of cells, biomaterials and tissues. At meetings with different research groups at UPO, detailed plans for the exchange of students between FTM and UPO were set with defined research objectives and experimental designs. In addition, Bojana Obradovic has introduced the ExcellMater project, while Jasmina Stojkovska has presented the research on tumor engineering conducted by the Biomedical Engineering Group, FTM, at the seminar held on May 19.
