Internal workshop on project proposal writing

Prof. Mirjana Kijevčanin, Vice-Dean FTM, and coordinators of the projects ExcellMater and TwinPrebioEnz, Prof. Bojana Obradović and Prof. Dejan Bezbradica, respectively, have successfully organized the internal Workshop on project proposal writing held on May 30-31, 2023, at FTM. The idea of organizing the Workshop originated at the round table within the previous ExcellMater and TwinPrebioEnz clustering workshop on project management held in February 2023. The round table discussed the possibilities for support of researchers at the FTM in the area of project proposal preparation as well as project administration and management. One of the conclusions was to form a team of experienced scientists at FTM who will who will provide some specific training events and seminars related to their experiences addressing specific project types. The Workshop on project proposal writing at which Prof. Bojana Obradović and Prof. Dejan Bezbradica have presented their experiences in preparations of national and international project proposals, is the first step in this direction. It should be also noted that the Workshop has attracted more than 30 attendees, in particular young researchers and early career scientists who had the opportunity to present and discuss their project ideas. This is of particular importance with regard to the fact that the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia has launched a call for scientific project proposals within the Program for Excellent Projects of Young Researchers – PROMIS 2023 on May 8, 2023. We hope to see at least some of the presented ideas realized within projects accepted by this program!
